Know the content of your presentations - well!!

No matter what presentation structure you use or techniques you employ - nothing makes the difference to the quality of a presentation than how well you know your content.

It provides you credibility.

It gives you confidence.

It enhances your professional reputation.

It means you can answer tricky questions.

It helps calm your nerves.

It's the reason you are making a presentation in the first place.

I think it's kind of non-negotiable? What do you think?

  1. Great post Karen, and I agree, it's non negotiable. A presentation is an important positioning and personal branding tool.
I am always amazed at how little time and thought many people with leadership aspirations will give to their presentation preparation and practice.
You need time to prepare and structure and at least the same time again for 'on your feet' practice.
